Frequently Asked Questions
Please refer to our frequently asked questions in regards to any queries you may have. If this doesn't answer your questions please contact us.

Q. What are the advantages of having a Plasma/LCD TV cabinet?
Answer. Plasma/LCD flat screen TVs are now whether we like it or not are a part of our lives but more importantly are a part of our rooms. Whether it be in the lounge, bedroom or any other room in the house. Now TDK can offer an alternative solution to this problem. By not only covering the big screen but concealing all the cables and AV equipment including all those CDs and DVDs you may have collected over the years. All TDK mirror display ranges can accommodate all your books and display even those special items in our glazed side cabinets. If all the above is not enough you have the added piece of mind that your plasma/LCD tv is stored safely away within the cabinet while you are enjoying a night out or perhaps a well deserved break.

Q. Where is our home entertainment furniture made?
Answer. All our home entertainment furniture is manufactured and sprayed in the UK by our own craftsman.

Q. Where does the timber and veneers come from?
Answer. We only use solid timber and real wood veneers sourced from managed forests.

Q. How is it made?
Answer. We construct all our plasma or LCD cabinets from using traditional joinery and cabinet making methods using scribed joints on our doors to masons mitres on our tops. We use real wood veneers on the interiors and areas subject to heat. These are used for their stability. This also allows us to finish your cabinet to the same high standards and colour inside as well as outside.

Q. How is it finished?
Answer. We can offer a wide range of materials for your home entertainment furniture, from pre-finished vinyl wrap glosses to real wood veneers and solid woods such as white/red oaks, cherry, sapele, walnut, beech, ash and many more. We then carefully prepare all surfaces and then they are coloured and sprayed in our own factory. Thus enabling us to offer you a range of finishes such as colour matching and specialised paint finishes. We can also send colour swatches to your specifications so as to match any existing pieces of furniture you may be wishing to match.

Q. Does plasma/LCD TV cabinet come with a guarantee?
Answer. All cabinets come with 1 year’s guarantee against manufacturer defects.

Q. Who installs our new TV cabinet?
Answer. We can simply arrange delivery of your new TV cabinet ready for you to fit your own TV – this takes a few hours and 2 people, as TV has to be lifted onto mechanism. We also offer our full installation service which would include the fitting of your TV to installing all your AV and hi-fi equipment. The cost of installation is between £300-£400 depending on location. We carry a full range of cables and appropriate fixings and these would be charged for accordingly.
